PLAY FOR JAPAN 2012 アーティスト募集中!

Nearly one year has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th, 2011. Many people in the affected areas are already back to life as usual, but there are still people living in temporary housing, unable to return home because they lost everything. Meanwhile, the situation at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant has yet to be fully rectified.

Likewise, it’s been nearly one year since OTOTOY released its first “PLAY FOR JAPAN”* compilation. We have been donating the proceeds from the sale of these compilations to assist in the reconstruction effort and will continue to do so as long as we can.

OTOTOY is now working on the next chapter in this story: “PLAY FOR JAPAN 2012”. This year we plan to release both a digital album and a booklet using the music, photos and art that you donate. The theme of this work is the title itself—PLAY FOR JAPAN—and proceeds, of course, will be donated to the reconstruction effort.
